either way, covered dish is homey (and thats not a bad thing), but as we get older, catered is easy

How about everyone bring a pizza, pretzels & beer?? Simple is better.
Covered dish, I like it being low cost to increase participation
either; I just love to eat. Food was great this year, though.

No strong feelings. We do have some great cooks. Maybe give folks an option (if local, bring a dish, if traveling, kick in some $$ and we could buy

7) What other ideas do you have regarding our reunion?
The reunion was amazingly well organized and fun. The only thing I would change would be to scale it down a little.
--there was too much food!
--the door prizes were a nice idea, but I think just 3 winners would have been better, since it took quite a while to give out all the prizes.
--I thought the "program" on Sat was a touch too long. People got restless and the last parts were hard to hear because folks had started chatting.
--We really don't need activities. It was fun to have the corn hole game around for casual, non-tournament play, and it was fine to have dance music available, but really, most folks just wanted to run around and talk to everybody.
I hope this doesn't sound negative, because I don't mean it to. If anything, you guys did TOO good of a job! I just think we could get away with a simpler format, so that no one has to work as hard for future reunions.
Having a DJ on Saturday nite. I could get us one at a real good price. My cousion does it.
You know what, I thought the reunion was perfect, but I have only attended two, and they were separated by 2 decades, so we could have stood in the middle of a field and passed a bottle of ripple, and I would have had a good time (that sounds a little too much like DD for comfort, I may have to reconsider, NAH).
For those who have been to many, or even all the reunions, what do you all think? Is Danny's barn getting stale? I thought it was great, and will definitely plan to be back. As a matter of fact, I've decided I like you all so much, that with enough notice, Id even try to make the mini reunions. While it could get a little pricey for the travelers, I would even consider hosting an event out here in CA if the numbers were manageable.
Bottom line; the reunion was great, I don't need to see a thing changed, but would be just as excited to attend if the format was changed.
I would like to see us start on sat. about 2pm dinner at 5pm and after that lets rock
None really.
I'd like Sat. night + Sunday afternoon picnic.(only because i work Sat. am). Serve a few snacks @ the dance and we'll bring a dish the next day. Simple food is better. We're there for the people. Is there a reason it's in Aug.? Sept. or early Oct. would be cooler weather, maybe.
It's always good to have conversation time before the music cranks up (as it was this year). I thought it was all good! As we age, we may need to increase the size of the name tag or maybe just the font size on the tag!
Girls should wear their bathing suits to at least one night, two piece preferred.
If it works, which it did, then don't change a thing!!!
It was great like it was...everyone was relaxed and had a good time. Loved the campfire on Friday night and the easy way we could all move around and talk to each other. I agree with some of the other comments, people just walked up and talked to people they never would have spoken to in high school.
I liked everything. It was nice to have different items to give away! I hope we do that again.
Music- Play some up to date music as well as old.
You guys did a great job!!! I don't think anything was missing from the 30th reunion..
need southern rock. MOLLY HATCHET
It was just perfect the way it was. There was plenty of opportunity to mingle and chat, which is really what it's all about, isn't it?
start earlier on sat. maybe 3:00 so we have more time to get around to everyone

8) Do you have any ideas, comments, etc. regarding our Website?
The website is what made the reunion such a success and in my opinion ,it definitely needs to stay active.
The website couldn't be improved - it was perfect! Great job!
The website is awesome and I can't think of a single feature that I'd add to it. But, since some folks have PC's that are a little slower, it might be nice to have an option of turning off the music, so that pages load a little quicker.
NOTHING BUT GREAT
The website has definitely been a boon, and has some really awesome features. The map with all the pins of where we are in the nation is definitely cool. I really like the fact that your web address isn't public, but you have the choice of sharing that with folks privately if you choose.
I just had a scary thought, and one that might be worth thinking about, or might just be paranoia. What if the web site is TOO effective? I mean, if folks keep in touch via this social network, does the incentive to actually attend a reunion go down? Its probably just paranoia, but I cant think about that right now because I have to answer the voice in my head!
great job!
It's great!
WEBSITE ROCKS!! Great work! Can't imagine how many hours invested...
Awesome--but I know some people put in an ungodly amount of time on this project. You have my undying devotion.
Perfect
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would love to see some "articles" written by our classmates. We could have a "column" and just pick a topic say "growth in our County" and invite members to write in...I found just by talking to some of our classmates that as we have grown older, our views have become very similiar and that is definitely a result of where we came from and how we were raised. No matter if you stayed local or moved away; who we are and our morals and values are shaped by being "small town."
Dawn did a wonderful job and I am thankful that it gives us the chance to keep in touch with each other!
I love this website!!! What an awesome thing to have.... I check almost everyday!!!! Thank you....
It is awesome! I really think it is the number one reason our reunion was such a huge success. I think we need to be sure we aren't burning Dawn out, since she's really the brains behind the operation. I love it!
